FOCUS ON MENTAL HEALTH
These courses provide information on specific mental health problems, as well as skills and strategies for coping with them.
This 5 session, 1 hour per session course covers anxiety and anxiety disorders including symptoms, risk factors, complications, common disorders and treatment options and coping skills to manage anxiety.
Understanding Emotion Dysregulation: Taming Anger
This 6 session, 1.5 hour per session course focuses on understanding anger, why it is an important emotion and healthy strategies to help manage anger when the emotion overwhelms us.
BUILDING MY BEST LIFE
These courses focus on improving mental health by teaching stress management, improving self-esteem and promoting healthy relationships.
Building Blocks for Managing Stress
This 2 session, 1 hour per session course begins by exploring the causes and how the body responds to stress as well as including relaxation techniques. Day 2 focuses on offering solutions to the problem of stress by teaching useful coping strategies.
FOCUS ON PHYSICAL HEALTH
These courses focus on the link between physical and mental health, improving physical health and dealing with physical health problems.
Walk and Talk
This interactive course is about feeling good! Research suggests physical activity at least 20 minutes daily can improve mental and physical health. We invite students to join us as we walk towards better health.
BUILDING MY SKILLS
These courses aid in the development of abilities related to gaining and maintaining employment, personal finances, communication, and more.
This 1 hour free workshop delivered by Access Credit Union will provide tips to reach financial goals and adjust spending as well as outline advantages and disadvantages of credit cards.
